This artwork was chosen for the Royal Ulster Academy of Arts 2019 Annual Exhibition at the Ulster Museum Belfast.
Still life drawing of watercolour paint in ceramic palettes. I really enjoyed trying to represent all the details of watercolour paint pooling and drying on the palettes. It was a great excuse to use a wide range of colours and tones.
I spent quite a long time choosing, arranging and mixing colours and then trying out different compositions before I even put pencil to paper.
